Why we started this
China is one of the hardest countries in the world to travel independently as a foreigner. The apps don't work the way you expect. Payments require setup most visitors never figure out. The language gap is real. And the most interesting places — the factories, the neighborhood workshops, the family-run restaurants, the places locals actually go — simply aren't reachable without someone who knows the way in.
Most tour companies solve this by herding visitors through the same five landmarks. We took a different approach: a service built by people who actually live here, with the local access, language, and logistics to take you past the surface — wherever your curiosity points.
